Cleaning your teeth is important because with proper maintenance of oral hygiene we can preserve our teeth and prolong their life.
Very often remains from food and drinks stay on the surface of the tooth, with pigmentation being an important causative factor in the development of pathological processes such as gingivitis and periodontitis (pyorrhea).
Pigmentation is most commonly found in smokers and people who drink a lot of colored beverages such as coffee and tea. They are very difficult to remove by brushing, some not being able to be removed at all. They appear as dark brown or black stains on the surface of the tooth, usually more intense along the gums.
Teeth are becoming yellow, full of dental calculus and plaque, and consequently more and more bacteria, that are harmful to teeth and the entire body are found in the mouth. Dental calculus are hard deposits on teeth formed by plaque mineralization; those hard white or yellowish plaque that build up on the teeth in the compound of the teeth and gums (gingiva). Most often it can be spotted in the inner, lower area of the front teeth.
