Implants
A dental implant is a specially made titanium screw that is surgically embedded into the bone of the upper and / or lower jaw.
Nowadays, implants are the state-of-the-art solution for all forms edentulism, whether it be for missing one tooth or all teeth.
The implant is made of titanium, which is a bio-compatible material that the body accepts on its own. This feature allows the implant to fully grow with the bone and acts as its integral part. After implantation, a different prosthetic abutment is attached to the implant which serves as a carrier for the ceramic crown, bridge or denture carrier. The crown or bridge is a permanent prosthetic that replaces the crown, and is the only visible thing left in the mouth when the therapy is completed.
For persons dissatisfied because of missing one or more teeth, because there is no need for drilling adjacent healthy or undamaged teeth.
For persons dissatisfied with classical dentures, which in many cases causes problems with chewing and speaking, as well as the fear of dentures falling.
