Partial dentures

Partial dentures

Made when one or more teeth are missing, regardless of whether the remaining teeth are natural, covered with crowns or bridges.

A partial denture is structurally more complex than a complete denture because there are elements which are attached to the remaining teeth. These elements have a dual role by allowing adherence of the prosthesis with the remaining teeth and the transmission of forces during chewing on the remaining teeth.

In more advanced versions these retentive elements are completely invisible and thus leave a visual impression of a complete dental arch. This is possible with combined prosthetics.
